Mike's 1970's Doughnuts
- 1 cup Melted Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp Whole Milk
- 3 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 Electric Mixer
- 1 large Ziplock Bag for filling
- 1 can 16.3 oz Large Pillsbury Butter Or Plain Biscuits flaky or regular
- 5 cup Frying Oil or less may be needed
- 1 large Frying Pan
- 1 Wooden Spoon
- Heat oil in pan then turn to medium low.
- Add a few biscuits to the hot oil and fry 2 1/2 minutes on each side Don't burn or over brown.
- Just keep flipping them.
- Allow the biscuits to cool and drain on paper towels.
- Then place the handle of your wooden spoon through the fried bread.
- Not all the way through tho.
- Mix your vanilla filing mixture, add fruit additions if you'd like and place it in a Ziplock bag.
- Snip the end and gently squeeze filing inside the donut.
- Sprinkle on powdered sugar and serve warm with coffee.
- Enjoy the 70's!
