Taco in a Pan
- 1 pound Ground Beef (we Use Ground Turkey)
- Optional Seasonings, To Taste **
- 2 cups Water
- 2 cups Minute Rice
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Black Beans
- 1 can (4 Oz. Size) Chopped Green Chilies
- 1 cup Mexican Cheese
- 1 cup Sliced Plum Tomatoes
- 3 sticks Green Onions, Chopped
- 1/4 cups Cilantro, Chopped
- Optional Toppings: Sour Cream, Salsa, Etc
- **Seasonings (we dont measure how much seasoning we use so just add to your liking): chili powder, Cavenders Greek seasoning, pinch of cayenne pepper, garlic powder, Natures Seasoning, salt, pepper and anything else that makes your heart happy.
- Brown meat in large skillet over medium heat.
- Once meat is browned, season your meat according to your taste.
- Add water; stir.
- Bring to boil then stir in rice.
- Cover and reduce heat to low.
- Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Then stir in your beans and green chilis and let cook for a few more minutes until everything is heated through and starting to thicken a bit.
- Top the hot mixture with cheese, tomatoes, green onions and cilantro.
- Once cheese is melted then its ready to eat!
- We like to top ours of with a dollop of sour cream and salsa then serve with Tostito chips.
