- 80 ml Milk
- 20 grams Butter
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 300 grams Mixed ground meat (beef and pork)
- 1 Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 4 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Consomme soup stock granules
- 100 grams Pizza cheese
- Mince the onion and garlic.
- Cut the potatoes into a bit smaller than bite-sized pieces, and soak in water.
- Add the potatoes, and enough water (excluded from the recipe) to cover them into a pot, then boil until they become soft.
- Drain the water, mash them well over very low heat while evaporating the moisture.
- Add the milk, salt and pepper, and mix.
- When thickened, add the butter and mayonnaise, and mix.
- The mashed potatoes are ready.
- Next, heat olive oil in a frying pan, and saute the garlic and onion.
- Add the ground meat, and fry until it becomes crumbly.
- Season with the ketchup, consomme, and sugar.
- Now your meat is ready, too.
- Put 1/2 of the mashed potatoes into a gratin dish and flatten the surface.
- Spread out the seasoned ground meat from Step 9 on top.
- Spread out the remaining mashed potatoes.
- Top with plenty of cheese.
- Bake in the oven until the cheese is browned, and done.
