Toaster Oven Kale Chips

  1. Preheat toaster oven to 300 degrees F and place baking rack in the lowest position.
  2. Wash kale and dry very well.
  3. Remove kales thick stems and tear leaves into similarly-sized pieces.
  4. Arrange kale pieces on a cookie sheet and mist with 2-3 sprays oil.
  5. Rub pieces around cookie sheet to coat bottoms with oil.
  6. Make sure pieces are not touching.
  7. Sprinkle kale with sea salt and lemon zest.
  8. Bake at 300 degrees F for 6 minutes.
  9. Rotate pieces from back to front, bake an additional 3 to 5 minutes until leaves are crisp and dry.
  10. Allow chips to cool on the cookie sheet for 3 to 5 minutes and enjoy.
