Grilled Halibut with Mango Relish
- 1 large ripe mango
- 2 scallions
- 2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 1/2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 fresh red or green chile
- 1/2 tsp. coarse sea salt
- 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 2 halibut steaks
- 1/2 tsp. coarse sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. Freshly ground black pepper
- Relish: Toss all ingredients in a medium bowl.
- Prepare an outdoor gas grill or a charcoal grill for direct grilling over medium-high heat.
- Brush the cooking grates clean and oil the grill rack.
- Combine olive oil and lime juice and brush over halibut steaks.
- Grill steaks until you can easily turn them without sticking, about 6 minutes.
- Carefully turn fish; continue to grill until just opaque but still moist in the center, about 6 minutes longer.
- Remove to a cutting board.
- Remove the bone from the center of each steak; cut steaks in half and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve with the relish.
