Bloody Mary Party Soup Recipe
- 2 1/2 c. Chopped onion
- 2 c. Chopped celery
- 1 1/4 c. Peeled, seeded and chopped Cucumber
- 8 lrg Cloves fresh garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 4 can 46 ounce. ea. tomato juice
- 1 1/2 c. Lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 bot (fifth) Vodka
- 1/2 c. Green onion, sliced
- Saute/fry onion, celery, cucumber and garlic in butter till soft.
- Add in tomato juice, lemon juice, sugar, Tabasco and Worcestershire; simmer 7 to 8 min.
- Chill.
- Place vodka bottle in No.
- 10 can filled with water; freeze till ice is solid.
- Remove can but keep vodka surrounded in ice and wrapped in a towel.
- To serve: portion soup into serving bowl.
- Garnish with green onion.
- Add in 1 ounce.
- jigger of vodka per serving of soup at table.
