Zip Dip
- 1 quart Hellmans mayonnaise
- 2 lb velveeta cheese
- 2 medium yellow onions, finely chopped
- 13 oz jalapenos, sliced or chopped
- 1 pod garlic
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Let cheese stand at room temperature until very soft.
- In a food processor, mix jalapenos with juice, garlic cloves and onions.
- Slowly in small portions add cheese to mixture and blend on low speed until smooth.
- Add mayonnaise and cayenne pepper, mix only until blended.
- Do not over mix; dip will be thin.
- Add salt & pepper to taste.
- Great to give as gifts in a decorated jar and refrigerate.
- Serve with vegetables or spiced crackers (see my other recipe).
- This makes a LOT so share with friends!
- Note: Do not use the "light" ingredients or the dip will be too thin and runny.
- It's a dip so it's not meant to be healthy!
