Grammy Dorothys Brownies

• 12 cup shortening
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs, beaten
• 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
• 34 cup sifted cake flour
• 14 teaspoon baking powder
• 14 teaspoon salt
• 34 cup chopped nuts

1. Work shortening with spoon until fluffy and creamy.
2. Gradually add sugar, while continually working with spoon until light.
3. Add eggs and the melted chocolate.
4. Mix and sift the flour, baking powder and salt, and add, along with the nuts.
5. Mix well, and turn into a greased 8x8 square pan.
6. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
