Barley Burger Stew Recipe
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 c. minced onion
- 2 - 2 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 46 ounce. tomato juice
- 1/2 c. barley
- 1 c. water
- 2 tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. minced celery
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- In a 3 qt sauce pan, cook and stir meat till tender.
- Drain fat then stir in rest of ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce hat, cover and simmer till barley is done (about 1 hour).
