Favorite Cheesy Bread
- 1 loaf sourdough baguette
- butter, softened
- garlic salt
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 12 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups cheese, shredded (any variety or combination of varieties that you like)
- If bread is not pre-sliced, cut into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
- Place bread slices onto a cookie sheet or broiler pan.
- Spread thin layer of butter on each slice of bread, and sprinkle a small amount of garlic salt on top of butter.
- Mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl.
- Spread a layer of cheese mixture onto each piece of bread.
- Place pan of bread under the broiler.
- Watch the bread carefully because it will burn easily.
- Remove bread from broiler when the cheese is lightly browned, and serve immediately.
