Bacon-Cheesy Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and pepper into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Grate the 1/2 cup of butter into the flour mixture and mix until incorporated.
  4. Add the crumbled bacon, cheese, and green onion to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Add the buttermilk and stir until mixture forms a stiff dough.
  6. Dust working area with extra flour.
  7. Roll out mixture to 1/2 inch thickness on working area with a rolling pin .
  8. Cut scones into individual pieces.
  9. Place individual scones on a greased baking sheet.
  10. Bake scones for 14-16 minutes or until brown.
