Matar paneer(paneer with green peas)

  1. grind the garlic,ginger and green chilli to a coarse paste either in a food processor or a mortar & pestle
  2. heat oil in a saucepan.when hot add the garlic ginger & chili paste
  3. saute for a minute then add the onions.saute until it starts browning a little
  4. add the cumin powder, coriander powder,turmeric powder and salt.add a little water and saute.
  5. now add the tomatoes and fry til tomatoes turn tender
  6. now add the peas and a half cup of water.cover & bring it to a boil
  7. add the paneer cubes add a quarter cup of water more.cook uncovered on medium heat til the paneer gets tender.stir once or twice.
  8. nw add the garam masala.squeeze the lemon slice into the curry.mix simmer for a minute.
  9. garnish with coriander & serve hot with rotis or naan or rice
