Sherry Pralines

  1. Combine sugar,soda,syrup and milk and cook over medium heat,stirring until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Cook to 236 degrees on candy thermometer or soft ball stage.
  3. Do not stir.
  4. Add sherry,pecans and butter and stir lightly until creamy.
  5. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.
