Chili with Beans
- 2 lb Ground Chuck
- 1 large Green Bell Pepper
- 1 large Sweet Onion
- 2 can 15.5 oz Dark Red Kidney Beans
- 2 can 10 oz Original Rotel Diced Tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 can 8oz tomato sauce
- 1 can 8 oz water (use the tomato sauce can)
- 4 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Ground Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon (shhhh... secret ingredient!)
- 1 Salt, to taste
- In medium stock pot, brown ground beef.
- Add chopped peppers and onions to beef and continue to brown until all liquid is evaporated.
- Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.
- I do not drain the beans, but if you prefer to drain them, add some additional water - probably another can.
- Add spices and salt to taste.
- Simmer on medium-low for 20-30 minutes so flavours will blend.
