Nancy Maher's Honey Meatloaf
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 slices bread, finely crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 onion, chopped very fine
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine eggs, milk and bread crumbs.
- Add salt, garlic powder, parsley and onion, and combine all with the beef and pork.
- Shape into a loaf, and place in baking pan.
- Bake for 50 minutes.
- Combine honey and orange juice.
- Remove loaf from oven, prod top with fork, cover with honey-and-juice mixture, and bake for 10 more minutes.
