Super Easy Festive Namasu (Pickled Daikon and Carrots)
- 1/4 Daikon radish
- 1/3 Carrot
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 3 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 Sesame seeds
- Peel the daikon and carrot.
- Use a slicer or peeler to thinly julienne.
- Otherwise, use a knife.
- Sprinkle the salt on the julienned daikon and carrot; this should draw the moisture out of them.
- Combine the vinegar and sugar, drain the excess moisture from the daikon and carrot, then soak in the vinegar and sugar mixture.
- Sprinkle on sesame seeds to taste; this makes the dish aromatic and tasty.
