taquitos
- 2 lb turkey
- 20 each tortillias
- 1 1/2 onion
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 3 dash cumin
- 2 dash oragano
- 3 dash chili powder
- 3 tbsp garlic
- 1 1/2 oil for frying
- warm skillet with oil
- put all seasons in a bowl set aside
- add turkey to warm skillet with oil and begin to cook turkey on low heat.
- Add some water so skillet is half full but turkey is not completely covered.
- after 10 mins add spices garlic and onion to skillet.
- Turn down heat so meat simmers.
- let cook 35 to 45 mins checking frequently and adding water ass needed.
- when meet can be pulled apart with forks and only very little liquid remains take off fire to cool.
- warm tortilla shells in microwave for 1 and 1/2 mins.
- shells must be warm to fold easily.
- fill shells with meat about 1/4 of an inch and roll.
- place roll flap down on freezer safe container.
- after all shells are rolled place them on freezer at least 45 mins.
- warm skillet with at least 1/2 of cooking oil.
- fry rolls flap side down so they harden and wont open when turned.
- take out of fryer amd let cool then serve.
- serve with additional topings like cheese or sour cream or salsa
