Easy Turkey Meatballs In Marinara

  1. For the marinara sauce: In a large pan, bring crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce to a simmer.
  2. Stir in seasonings.
  3. Continue simmering as you prepare the meatballs.
  4. For the turkey meatballs: In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, egg whites, breadcrumbs and flax.
  5. Stir in Parmesan and seasonings.
  6. Add shredded squash (dont forget to press out excess moisture) and mix well.
  7. Using 2 tablespoonfuls of meat, roll into balls and gently drop into simmering marinara sauce.
  8. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  9. Carefully turn over any meatballs not covered in sauce.
  10. Cover and cook an additional 10 minutes.
  11. Serve over pasta, roasted squash, or in a bun.
  12. Enjoy.
