Blue Cheese Morsels

  1. COMBINE cheeses and pepper
  2. CUT baguette in half, lengthwise.
  3. Hollow out both halves, leaving 1/2 inch (1.2 cm) of bread inside.
  4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup (50 mL) of pecans in each half of baguette.
  5. Divide cheese mixture between the 2 halves, patting carefully onto pecans.
  6. Bring both halves together to form whole baguette.
  7. Slice thinly
  8. SERVE each slice with 2 thin pear slices
