Norwegian Curried Lamb
- 3 lbs lamb, chunked
- 14 cup flour
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- margarine for browning sauce
- Coat meat with flour.
- Saute garlic and onion in a small amount of margarine .
- Heat more more margarine in a heavy skillet and brown meat on all sides.
- Transfer to large pot.
- Add sauteed onions and garlic to pot.
- Season with salt, pepper, and curry powder.
- Add 1 cup hot water and bring to a boil.Add more water if necessary to cover meat.
- Cover, and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes.
- Check seasonings.
- It should be quite strong.
- Serve hot.
