Swedish Meat Balls

  1. Cut up 1 large onion fine, simmer in 1/8 pound butter until golden brown.
  2. Add first 7 ingredients and mix well.
  3. Shape into small balls and brown on all sides in hot oil.
  4. Remove from oil and drain.
  5. Place in deep frypan or Dutch oven.
  6. Pour over 1/2 can chicken gravy diluted with 1/2 can water, 1/2 can of beef gravy diluted with 1/2 can water.
  7. Slice 1 large onion in thick slices and lay these and celery across top of the meat balls.
  8. Simmer meat balls for 30 to 35 minutes.
  9. Discard onion and celery before serving.
