Marinated Beef Souvlaki
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/2 cup plum sauce
- 1 tablespoon VEGEMITE
- few drops of Tabasco sauce
- 500g rump steak, thinly sliced
- 6 souvlaki breads
- 50g lettuce mix
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- Combine the garlic, plum sauce, Vegemite* and Tabasco sauce, add the beef and allow to marinate for 2 hours.
- Heat a non stick frypan and cook the steak in small amounts for 2-3 minutes or until tender.
- Divide the steak between the breads then top with the lettuce, cucumber, tomato and onion then roll to enclose.
- Serve immediately
