Afghans Recipe
- 7 ounce Butter
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 1/4 c. Flour
- 1/4 c. Cocoa
- 2 c. Cornflakes
- 7 ounce Cooking chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. (scant) butter
- 1/2 c. Cream

- and "everyone" makes Afghans!
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Sift flour and cocoa.
- Stir into creamed mix.
- Mix in cornflakes.
- Spoon mounds of mix onto a greased oven tray, gently pressing together.
- Bake at 350 (180) for 15 min or possibly till set.
- When cool, ice with chocolate icing and decorate with walnut if you like.
- Makes 30.
- MELTED CHOCOLATE ICING: Break chocolate into top of double boiler or possibly a small bowl.
- Add in butter and cream.
- Set over warm water and heat, stirring constantly, till it has melted and thickened slightly.
- Set aside till cold.
- Beat thick before using.
