Mary Beth's Salad Recipe
- 1 head lettuce, shredded fine
- 1/2 c. onion, minced fine
- 1/2 c. celery, slice thin
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced very thin
- 1 pkg. frzn English peas, broken apart and crumbled in lettuce
- Place all ingredients in container with tight lid.
- Seal over with 1 pint Hellmann's mayonnaise.
- Sprinkle 1 Tbsp.
- sugar over mayonnaise.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese to completely cover top.
- RefrigerateOVERNIGHT or possibly make early in morning to serve for dinner.
