Strawberry Salad

  1. Melt butter in a long rectangular dish (Pyrex).
  2. Add crushed pretzels and 2 tablespoons sugar.
  3. Mix and spread evenly.
  4. Bake 10 minutes at 350u0b0 until lightly browned.
  5. Set aside to cool thoroughly.
  6. Whip softened cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until fluffy.
  7. Add vanilla and whipped topping, mixing well.
  8. Spread over cooled pretzel crust.
  9. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water; add frozen strawberries, separating with fork.
  10. Spoon this over cream cheese mixture.
  11. Chill for several hours until firm.
  12. Serve in squares.
