Hot-Chocolate Shortbread Sticks from Parenting Magazine
- Pam cooking spray
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 12 cup instant hot chocolate powder
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 tablespoons butter, softened
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 (4 1/4 ounce) package vanilla frosting

- Preheat oven to 350.
- Line a 9 x 13 pan with aluminum foil and spray with Pam.

- Combine flour, hot chocolate mix, and salt in medium bowl.
- 3.
- Beat butter sugar in another medium bowl with electric mixer on high until light and fluffy (about 3 min).
- Add egg and beat well.
- Slowly add flour mixture and continue until just combined, scraping the sides of the bowl.

- Spread dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake until firm to touch about 30-35 minute Transfer to wire rack to cool for 5 minute Lift foil and cookies from pan and place on cutting board.
- Slice in half length wise and cut each half crosswise in 3/4 in pieces.

- After they have cooled, dot with frosting and let dry before storing.
