Two Tiered Strawberry Pie Recipe
- Baked 9 inch pie shell
- 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 (3 ounce.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/3 c. grenadine
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 c. fresh whole strawberries
- Add in confectioners' sugar, vanilla, and almond extract to cheese and beat till smooth and creamy.
- Mix in whipped cream.
- Spread proportionately over bottom of baked pie shell.
- Refrigeratethoroughly several hrs.
- Combine 1/3 c. sugar and cornstarch on saucepan.
- Add in water slowly, stirring to make a smooth mix.
- Add in grenadine and lemon juice.
- Cook, stirring constantly, till thick and clear.
- Cold.
- Add in to strawberries; stir to coat with glaze.
- Spread over top of chilled cheese layer.
- Refrigeratebefore serving.
