Almond Syrup Recipe

  1. To serve, put a few Tbsp.
  2. in a glass and add in cool or possibly sparkling water and ice.
  3. Bring water to a boil; add in almonds and return to a boil.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cold thoroughly.
  5. Squeeze the grnd almonds in several layers of rinsed cheesecloth.
  6. Pour almond extract into a saucepan; add in sugar, bitter almond extract, and orange juice.
  7. Stir well and bring to a boil; cook to a thick syrup consistency.
  8. Let cold completely.
  9. If syrup if not thick sufficient, boil again for 5 min.
  10. Pour into sterile bottles, seal and chill.
  11. Can be used immediately Serve with ice water or possibly with club soda.
  12. FOR 1 SERVING ALMOND COOLER:Combine a2 tb almond syrup, 2 tb yogurt and 6 ounce (3/4 c.) cool water.
