Beef-Rice Creole

  1. Cook and stir ground beef in 10-inch skillet until brown; drain.
  2. Sprinkle beef with flour and salt.
  3. Stir in green pepper, onion, parsley, pepper, pepper sauce, garlic, bay leaf and thyme. Cook over low heat until onion is tender.
  4. Stir water and tomatoes (with liquid) into beef, break up tomatoes with fork.
  5. Heat to boiling.
  6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  7. Add rice, remove from heat.
  8. Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
