Taffy Pecan Apples

• 4 large granny smith apples
• 12 cup chopped pecans
• 12 cup packed dark brown sugar
• 14 teaspoon salt
• 14 cup half-and-half

1. Core apples, cutting to but not through bottom ends.
2. Place apples in a lightly greased 9-inch square baking dish.
3. In a bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients.
4. Spoon mixture into apples.
5. Bake, covered, in a 375 oven for 45 minutes; uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
6. Serve warm.
