Mustard and Onion Pork Chops
- 2 whole Boneless Pork Chops
- 2 whole Onions
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/2 cups Dried Bread Crumbs
- 2 Tablespoons Prepared Grainy Mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Mustard
- 1 dash Pepper
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Caramelize the onions, by slicing them up and putting them in a pan with a tablespoon of olive oil and cooking them over a low heat, stirring occasionally.
- When they turn a light brown color, they are done.
- It takes 30+ minutes for the onions to caramelize on a low heat.
- Beat the egg.
- Add the prepared mustard and honey to the egg and mix well.
- Add the dried mustard and pepper to the bread crumbs and combine well.
- First, dip the pork chops in the egg and mustard mixture and then in the bread crumb mixture.
- Shake off any excess bread crumbs.
- Cook the pork chops on medium heat in a frying pan with a few tablespoons of oil.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes per side until the bread crumbs are nicely toasted.
- Transfer the pork chops to a baking dish and top with the caramelized onions.
- Bake at 350 degrees until the temperature of the meat reaches 160.
