Cubed Steak Bake Recipe
- 4-6 cubed steaks
- 3 tbsp. oil
- 2 med. onions, sliced
- 1 (10 ounce.) Packages frzn peas or corn (or both), thawed
- 2 med. tomatoes, seeded and minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dry rosemary, crushed
- 1/2 c. shredded American or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Brown steaks in oil in a hot skillet.
- Remove meat, reserve drippings.
- Cook onions in drippings until tender.
- Place steaks in baking dish.
- Combine peas or corn, tomatoes, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon on top of meat.
- Place onions on top.
- Stop here and chill for 24 hrs.
- Bake covered at 350 degrees for 35-45 min (50 min if cold).
- Sprinkle cheese on top after uncovering.
