Spirited Cider

  1. Place cinnamon, cloves, and allspice in center of cheesecloth square and tie corners together to make a bag.
  2. Core apple and cut into rings.
  3. Combine all drink ingredients in 2-quart saucepan or slow cooker.
  4. Simmer over low heat at least 2 hours to allow flavors to blend.
  5. To serve, add 3 tablespoons schnapps to each 8 oz.
  6. serving.
  7. For a non-alcoholic version of this "spirited" drink, simply serve without the peach schnapps.
  8. Any leftover cider will refrigerate well.
