Chicken Sweet and Sour
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 8 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- dried parsley flakes, for garnish
- 1 (17 ounce) canwaterpack peach slices, drained
- fresh parsley, for garnish
- fresh orange slice, for garnish
- Place potatoes in a greased slow cooker, then arrange chicken on top of the potatoes.
- In a bowl, combine vinegar, nutmeg, basil, brown sugar, and orange juice.
- Pour over chicken, and sprinkle with parsley.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Remove chicken and potatoes from sauce and arrange on a warm platter.
- Turn cooker to high, add peaches.
- When warm, spoon peaches, and sauce over chicken, and potatoes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, and orange slices.
