Chicago Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto waxed paper.
  2. Preheat oven to moderate (350u0b0).
  3. Beat butter, margarine, sugars, egg, milk and vanilla in bowl until well blended.
  4. Stir flour mixture alternately with oil in sugar and butter mixture until mixture is thoroughly mixed.
  5. Stir in cornflakes, oats and chocolate.
  6. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets, 2-inches apart. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool on wire racks.
