Poofs
- 2 egg whites
- 1 pinch salt
- 14 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 23 cup sugar
- red food coloring or green food coloring
- 12 ounces chocolate chips, mini-morsels
- 14 teaspoon peppermint extract (or more to taste)
- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add salt and cream of tartar.
- Beat until stiff.
- Add sugar gradually while beating.
- Tint with red or green coloring to desired shade.
- Fold in chocolate chips and extract.
- Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
- (Parchment paper may make removal easier.
- ).
- Place in preheated 350* oven.
- TURN OVEN OFF.
- Leave pan in overnight.
- In the morning, remove and enjoy.
