Beer Chili & Cheese Dogs
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 cup Yellow Onions, Chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 pound Beef (80% Lean/20% Fat)
- 6 ounces, fluid Tomato Paste
- 1 cup Beer (I Used A Stout)
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Cummin
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Sauce (such As Sriracha)
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 8 whole Hot Dogs
- 8 whole Buns
- In a large pot over medium high heat, allow the olive oil to get hot but not smoking.
- Add the onions and cook until opaque, about 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic and the beef and cook until the beef is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients (other than the hot dogs and buns) and allow to cook until thickened, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
- Place warm hot dogs in buns.
- Spoon chili over warm hot dog.
- (Top with cheese, if desired.)
- Enjoy with a cold beer.
