Hearty Chicken And Rice Soup Recipe
- 1 pound skinned, boneless chicken breast, cut into 1" pcs
- 5 c. water
- 8 ounce. fresh mushrooms, sliced (2 c.)
- 3/4 c. sliced celery
- 1/2 c. sliced carrots
- 1/2 c. raw converted rice
- 1/4 c. minced green onions
- 5 teaspoon chicken flavor instant bouillon or possibly 5 chicken flavor bouillon cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd sage
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- In crock pot or possibly slow cooker combine ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 9 hrs.
- If you use a high setting, cook for 4 hrs.
- Makes about 2 qts.
- Chill leftovers.
