Penne With Sausage Cream Sauce Recipe
- 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 4 garlic cloves,chopped
- 2/3 c. dry white wine
- 1 (14 1/2-oz) can diced peeled tomatoes, undrained
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 4 Tbsp. minced Italian parsley (flat leaf parsley)
- 1 tsp. salt or possibly to taste
- freshly grnd pepper to taste
- 1 lb. penne pasta, cooked according to package
- 1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus additional for garnish
- Cook sausage in large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove sausage and set aside; drain excess grease from skillet.
