Dorito & Cheese Casserole --
- 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans nacho cheese soup
- 1 12 cups water
- 1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 13 ounces Doritos, lightly crushed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef or 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 12 cups monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 3 -4 green onion tops, chopped
- Combine and heat the soup, water and tomatoes, set aside.
- Cook the onion and ground beef, or chicken, until browned, drain.
- Place 1/2 of the Doritos in a sprayed 9x13x2" casserole.
- Cover with the browned beef.
- Spread the soup mixture over the meat layer.
- Add the remaining crushed Doritos.
- Top with the cheese.
- Bake 350 degrees, 25-30 minutes, or until bubbling hot and slightly browned.
- Garnish with chopped green onion tops.
