Bitter Melon Side Dish
- 1/2 Bitter melon
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 dash Red chilli pepper (Optional)
- 1 dash Bonito flakes
- Remove the with pith of the bitter lemon with a spoon, and slice it as thinly as possible.
- Boil water in a pot and then add the bitter lemon.
- Boil briefly before draining in a colander.
- Squeeze out excess water with your hands.
- Mix the ingredients, and add the goya.
- Once it's well mixed, chill in the fridge.
- When it's chilled, top with bonito flakes and serve.
