Rizzy's Doria-Style Shepherd's Pie
- 300 grams Ground meat
- 1/2 Onion
- 300 ml Cooked rice (or pasta)
- 5 Potatoes (mashed potatoes)
- 1 Eggplant (slim Japanese type)
- 1 Bell peppers (any color)
- 15 cm Carrot
- 1 can Tomato Puree (or whole tomato)
- 100 ml Water
- 2 tbsp Consomme / Bouillon
- 1 Salt, pepper, basil, etc.
- 1 generous amount Pizza cheese
- Cook the meat and onion with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to a bowl and mix with cooked rice (or pasta).
- Cook the ingredients thoroughly.
- Add the tomato puree, water, salt, and pepper.
- Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Cut the potato into thin slices and boil.
- Once they are cooked, drain and add butter, salt, pepper, and milk.
- Then mash the potatoes using a masher.
- Finally, stir with a whisk to even out the consistency.
- Coat a heat resistant dish with butter and add the items from Step 1, 2, and 3 in that order.
- Sprinkle a ton of cheese on top and bake at 390F/200C for 20 minutes.
- Cheese and mashed potatoes with the hot and creamy rice is a combination that can't be beat.
- Try it with Tabasco sauce.
