Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches Recipe
- 5 to 6 pound rolled roast
- 3 lg. onions, minced
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 3 warm peppers
- 1 teaspoon garlic-powder">garlic salt or possibly fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoon Accent
- 1 1/2 c. water
- In crockpot combine fresh garlic, roast, onions and salt.
- Add in 1 1/2 c. water.
- Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hrs or possibly till cooked through.
- Remove roast to cold.
- To liquid add in garlic salt if fresh garlic was not used; oregano, basil, and Italian seasoning, also Accent.
- Bring liquid to the boiling point on high and add in the cooled sliced beef.
- Add in the warm peppers.
- If possible chill for 24 hrs to enhance the flavor; otherwise heat the meat thoroughly in the liquid before serving.
