Apple Glazed Barbecued Chicken Recipe
- 1 can frzn apple juice concentrate thawed (6-oz)
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 tsp dry thyme crumbled
- 1/8 tsp warm pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)
- 1 x chicken cut into 4 pcs (3-lb.) Vegetable oil
- Combine first 6 ingredients in heavy small saucepan.
- Stir over medium heat till sugar dissolves.
- Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat).
- Brush chicken with oil.
- Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Grill till chicken is almost cooked through, turning occasionally, about 20 min.
- Brush with glaze and continue grilling till chicken is tender and cooked through, brushing chicken frequently with glaze and turning occasionally, about 10 min longer.
- Serves 4.
