Ginger Soy Pan Fried Squid

  1. Wash, rinse and clean squid tubes and tentacles.
  2. Slice squid tubes into 1 rings.
  3. Heat butter and olive oil in saute pan on medium high heat.
  4. Once butter has melted, add onion and saute until translucent.
  5. Add minced garlic to pan and add squid to pan.
  6. Saute squid for a couple of minutes until just cooked through.
  7. You do not want to overcook the squid as it will become tough.
  8. Remove the squid, set aside and keep warm.
  9. To the saute pan with the onion and garlic, add ginger, tamari soya sauce, and squeezed lime slice.
  10. Cook for 1 minute and then add the squid and cook for another minute until sauce smothers the squid.
  11. Serve immediately.
