Pinwheel Cheese Meatloaf Recipe
- 1 1/2 lbs. lean grnd beef
- 3/4 c. cracker crumbs (or possibly bread crumbs)
- 1/2 c. finely minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (for topping)
- Combine beef, cracker crumbs, onion, egg, salt, horseradish, oregano, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce and 1/2 can of tomato sauce.
- Mix well and spread on waxed paper or possibly foil shaped into flat rectangle about 14 inches by 10 inches.
- Sprinkle cheese proportionately over meat mix up to 1 inch of edges.
- Roll up from shorter side like jelly roll, and press ends to seal.
- Remove from paper or possibly foil.
- Transfer to shallow baking dish, seam side down.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
