Black Walnut Fudge Recipe

  1. Cook sugar, cream of tartar, salt, and lowfat milk to soft ball stage, stirring frequently.
  2. Wipe down sides of pan to remove crystals.
  3. Remove from heat; add in butter.
  4. Cold without stirring, till lukewarm.
  5. Add in extract and nuts; beat till creamy.
  6. Pour into a greased square pan; cut in squares.
  7. Makes 11/2 pounds.
