Mom's Plum Pudding Recipe
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. suet (cut fine)
- 3/4 c. nuts
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 2 teaspoon Brer Rabbit syrup
- 1 healthy pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 c. buttermilk or possibly strong coffee
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Dissolve in warm water or possibly warm coffee, flour to stiffen, about 5 c. flour.
- Boil in cheese cloth (doubled up, 2 hrs).
- Tie top, leave room to expand.
- (can use fruit cake fruit optional.)
- Take out and let dry.
