Paper-Sack Apple Pie

  1. Peel and slice apples.
  2. combine sugar, nutmeg,, and 2 tablespoons flour.
  3. Sprinkle over apples and coat well.
  4. Spoon this mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  5. Sprinkle with lemon juice and add a dash of salt.
  6. Combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour and butter.
  7. Blend well and sprinkle over top of pie.
  8. Place in large brown paper bag and secure with clips.
  9. Bake at 425F for 1 hour.
