Frozen Memphis Mint Juleps
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1 cup mint simple syrup (recipe follows)
- 8 cups ice cubes
- Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 bunch fresh mint, leaves bruised
- (makes 1 cup)
- Pour the bourbon, simple syrup, and ice into a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into six glasses, and serve icy-cold with a sprig of mint for garnish.
- Pour the water into a saucepan, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a simmer, add the sugar, and stir until it is completely dissolved.
- Add the mint, turn off heat, and cool completely.
- Strain before using.
